In this clip I’m going to be showing you how to tighten up the cassette on your back
wheel and if you are having a lot of shifting problems in the back tightening up your cassette
could possibly solve the problem. And you are going to need three different tools for
it. One is the cassette remover tool, one is a chain whip and the other is any type
of adjustable wrench or pliers or anything that will fit around the cassette tool. So
what you are going to want to do first is put the cassette tool through the axle and
make sure the little notches line up with the lacquering on the bottom. Then you are
going to take the chain whip and place the big part of the chain around any one of the
different cassette in back lock it on there and then when you turn counterclockwise or
to the left your cassette will loosen up if you are going to taking it off and to tighten
it all you will need to do is just turn clockwise or to the right on your cassette tool and
you don’t really need the chain whip for tightening it, you want to make sure you tighten
it down nice and tight and that is how you would tighten up your cassette on the back
wheel.
