Alexi: Honestly, very nice to be back here playing since you are as crazy as always, that's *** cool.
Besides there are prettier chicks in Joensuu than Vaasa.
Interviewer: Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom, Ilosaarirock gig just done.
The crowd was very excited and you also seemed to be in a good mood. How would you describe the gig?
Alexi: Well first of all, why are you so surprised that I was in a good mood?
I'm not gonna go there and cut myself behind the Marshalls.
Well I just felt good and it was fun to play. Like it always is especially if the crowd's excited. To me that's the coolest thing ever.
Interviewer: You go back to Helsinki today, Tuska festival ahead. How would you describe the difference between the crowds of these two festivals, since Tuska is purely a metal festival and here we have all kinds of music?
Alexi: Yeah that's pretty obvious that Tuska is a metal festival and this isn't.
But it's cool to play at Tuska because it's in our hometown, that's the big thing about it.
But on the other hand I like to play at these festivals with all kinds of music.
And there are all kinds of people in here, not all are metalheads but there are also for example people like you!
Interviewer: When do you have time to rest, isn't it pretty hard to play every day of the weekends?
Alexi: It is hard and to be honest to those who think this is just pure glamour 24/7, it's not.
Because it's though to know that there are people out there and it's your responsibility that they have fun for that 75 minutes.
And of course getting wasted on top of that, but it's loads of fun. So it doesn't bother me.
But we were supposed to have a break this summer and some free time. But the festivals just keep coming up.
And before you know you're sitting in the back lounge of the tour bus and notice you're on tour again, where did the *** vacation go?
Interviewer: The new album will be released in September and after that apparently more touring abroad?
Alexi: Yeah, first we go to Australia, then to Japan. After that we have maybe a week off. Then we go to the States for 6 weeks and after that another week off.
Then we tour Europe for 6 weeks and then again to Japan and then another US tour. And it just continues like that.
Maybe we get to go home someday too. But I don't mind touring.
Interviewer: Fans have submitted some questions and we wan't answers.
A fan from Kuhmo asks what is your favourite make-up product?
Alexi: Can I check?
The thing was that it actually is the one I bought at the airport but I couldn't remember it's name. Then the interviewer lady kindly helped me with the name. Something that started with 'Y'.
Interviewer: Yves Rocher. A fan from Joensuu wants to know: Do you buy your eye liner from the ladies department or are you a tough guy and line your eyes with a felt-tip pen?
Alexi: I just go to the ladies department. But I have also tried a pen as a little kid.
Interviewer: Ok, then the last question from Vantaa: Do you have posters of Bodom on your wall?
Alexi: I actually have seen that magazine before. But yes I do, on one whole wall.
White walls suck so I had to do some decorating.
Interviewer: We thank Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom and wish you a great gig at Tuska, thank you!
Alexi: Thank you, thank you!
