From today Lomography Israel
is officially online and active...
(crazy human beatbox and shakin' dance)
The lomography started from a camera
which is very similar to this one.
Lomo-Compact Automat (LC-A)
LOMO is an abbreviated name of the factory
in current St. Petersburgh, Russia
that was producing cameras during communist times.
The cameras were documeting
the Soviet present and future
in bright, vivid, catchy and memorable colors.
During 4 months in China
we were constantly taking shots with this camera.
We were certainly NOT disappointed.
Diana+ is a modular camera.
Any configuration can be assembled in seconds.
For example, if I need a fisheye effect
I am just attaching the appropriate lens
pulling it off my pocket.
The modularity is very practical and comfortable.
With this camera you can take pictures
of anything that moves around you or toward you.
You can also make 4-frames cartoon.
Also, if you are taking still close-up pictures
(and you can make 4-frame animation as well)
then each lens of 4 sees the world
from a different angle.
You will get kinda stereo-like effect.
While creating an animated GIF
you need to crop the frames
and place them one ontop of the other.
Fisheye camera (as the name says)
takes round-like pictures
just like if you were looking
from the other side of the door :)
This camera has a flash
and the flash can switch four colors.
If "four" is not enough
then you also have
lots of other filters
for all the beyond the rainbow colors.
Very enjoyable results, aren't they?
This camera is very gentle.
It takes four strip-like pictures.
You can certainly make
a four-frame story,
while controlling the filming speed.
4 frames in 0.2 seconds
if something moves very fast.
Alternatively, shoot 4 frames in 2 seconds.
