Jaspers are
this huge huge group of minerals, okay?
Jasper is really just a cryptocrystalline
quartz similar to a chalcedony.
Normally chalcedony is like translucent or transparent
and a Jasper is more opaque. So there are
just hundreds and hundreds of kinds of Jasper, right? We have Bumblebee Jasper,
Forest Fire Jasper, red Jasper, and Rainforest, Leopardskin, and
yellow and
all different kinds. Some of the Jaspers are
found in lots of different locations and they're certain combinations of
things or it'll just be like a color
like red Jasper. Other Jaspers are
unique to their locality. So they'll have a very special make-up
based on exactly where they were found and all the minerals that were
present.
So some Jaspers only come from one place. So you get this huge
range up properties, of healing attributes,
with each Jasper because they're so varied.
So a lot of healing properties are sometimes based on the color,
right? So like red Jasper is really great for the Root Chakra.
It's good for grounding, protection, bringing vitality energy into the body,
stimulating chi or prana,
moving that chi throughout the body. So
there's something like that. But then we have yellow Jasper,
right? Which relates more to the Solar Plexus. It's good for self-confidence,
inner strength, willpower.
It's good for overcoming Seasonal Affective Disorder. So those of you who get the
winter blues,
yellow Jasper is good for that. Then we have something like Rainforest Jasper
which is green and there's usually like
really interesting almost
eyes on it. And that's a form of Rhyolite Jasper.
Now most of the Rhyolite Jaspers have those eyes.
So like there's Bird's Eye Rhyolite Jasper
that usually comes from Australia, there's a Rainforest Rhyolite Jasper.
Leopardskin Jasper is a type of Rhyolite.
Ocean Jasper, which is also called Orbicular Jasper,
that's a type of Rhyolite. It's because they all have those little spots.
So something like Rainforest Jasper is really good for
shamanic work, astral travel, connecting with nature.
So the properties are so huge and varied because there are so many varieties.
And again, this is where maybe you need to make sure that you're buying from
a vendor who really knows what they're talking about, what they're dealing with,
because I see Jaspers mislabeled all the time and it's so frustrating. So just
make sure that
you kind of know ahead of time what you're looking for so that you can make sure
if you're getting the right or not when it comes time to purchase it for your healing kit.
