Hi, my name is Josh Kallenberg and I'm here at the Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles, California.
I've been flying professionally for about 13 years, and now I have the pleasure of flying
this Gulfstream G450 which is a lot of fun and exciting. And today I'm going to talk
to you about becoming a pilot. What is a flying club, and how would you join one, and why
would you join one? Well, a flying club usually involves one or several airplanes that are
owned by the members and what that does, is that allows potentially for you to save some
money on the hourly rate of the aircraft. what you would do is again through the normal
research: online or phonebook, maybe word of mouth- finding if there is in fact a flying
club near you. Usually it involves paying a membership fee of some sort and some sort
of dues whether monthly or annual and that would allow you to be part of this club, which
another fun part about it is it gives you people to fly with and talk about flying with,
that's some reasons why you would partake in a flying club. Why we mention flying club
is because they usually have a flight instructor of someone who is qualified as a flight instructor
so you can take your lessons through the flying club.
