"In my apartment"
"lost in the city"
"someone is trying to believe that things will get better soon..."
Hi!
Long time no see, huh?
My hair's changed, everything's changed.
But I came...
...in this episode... I'm gonna talk about my life later.
I came to make an announcement, it's actually an "advertising" kind of episode.
It's an episode of propaganda, really, shameless propaganda, guys.
What's to do? That's how an independent artist has to work.
Right?
I want to announce...
...that...
...on August 27th and September 28th I'll...
...release my...
Two EPs, right?
They're part of a project called THE BEACHTOWN YEARS.
What's this project? This project is about this:
During the 3 years I lived on the coast, between 2005 and 2007...
From the start of 2005 to the end of 2007, I started producing what would be my first LP.
My first album. Full-lenght.
And I started it, I did. Made a lot of stuff, wrote many songs...
Produced many songs...
Then I had a problem with my PC's hard disc, with the connection between the HDD and the motherboard,
and my data started to be corrupted to the point of making my computer stop after some time.
But I only became aware of the data corruption when I was recovering my files.
So I ended up losing the original sessions of almost everything I was working on.
What survived was some finished songs, others unfinished.
Despite the fact that I made those songs between my 15 and 17
so I didn't have as much knowledge in audio and sound as I have today.
So what do I wanna do? To be able to move forward...
...in my...
...musical road, let's put it that way, I must...
...release those things to the world, right?
And I'll do it in a commercial way because it's not been easy.
Of course the EPs will be cheap, they'll be sold digitally, right?
Whomever buys or downloads it can distribute it for free, no problem.
I won't bother, but I'll be very happy if you buy.
So there'll gonna be two volumes to this part of the project. Then what happened?
I took this songs...
Some of them were more finished than others,
mainly the vocal songs, the songs with lyrics and all...
I tried to give them proper post-production, mastering...
Inside the limits of my knowledge, of course.
I wrapped it up in two volumes then: THE BEACHTOWN YEARS VOLUME ONE & VOLUME TWO.
Why two volumes? The first is all instumental.
I did a lot of instrumental music back then.
Because I had plenty of lyrics written but I lacked the confidence to sing and stuff.
And the second volume will have the vocal songs.
Right?
Always keep in mind that I was 15 to 17 when I made these songs, wrote those lyrics and all.
They reflect a lot how I felt, what I thought, what was happening in my life back then.
And that's why it's called THE BEACHTOWN YEARS.
Because, in fact, this is part of a...
...fictionalization, let's say, that I've been...
...making of my life.
That will generate a continuity after THE BEACHTOWN YEARS.
But that will be revealed later on.
So stay tuned...
...to this YouTube channel.
To my blog and stuff.
The EPs will be sold on my Bandcamp page, ok?
My Bandcamp page is at cairobraga.bandcamp.com or bandcamp.cairobraga.com.
Confusing, ain't it? I know.
My personal blog/website cairobraga.com is with a completely renewed layout to this new phase
in which I start to...
...loosen the ties of my shyness in relation to music and to show myself to the world a bit more, right?
So stay tuned.
Because I am back, ***.
One last thing:
