Hi, I'm Kim Stoegbauer, Party Stylist from The TomKat Studio.
I'm here with Pottery Barn Kids, sharing fresh ideas for spring baby showers.
Cupcakes are a must for any party or event. Everyone loves cupcakes.
Whether you make them at home or buy them at the store, it's really easy to dress them up with printable designs.
I designed several printables for this party and I'm going to show you how to use two of them,
cupcake wrappers and cupcake toppers to dress up your cupcakes.
The first thing we're going to show you is how to make a cupcake wrapper.
Visit potterybarnkids.com and download the printable template.
Print it on your color printer and you're ready to cut it out.
Once you have it cut out, you're going to use double sided tape to secure the ends and wrap it around.
Now that your cupcake wrapper is ready, simply take your cupcake and drop it in.
Now that we've made our cupcake wrapper, we're ready to make our cupcake topper.
Download and print the template from potterybarnkids.com.
You're going to cut the paper into columns.
Now you're ready to use a punch. At The TomKat Studio we actually have
three punches available that work with this template.
We're going to use the square flourish punch.
To use your punch you're going to slide your paper into your punch and simply press down.
The next step is to attach the stick. We typically use four inch white lollipop sticks,
which are available at your local crafts store.
To attach the stick, use tape or for a more finished look,
use a one inch white circle label which is available at your local office supply store.
Simply attach the label to one side of the stick, wrap it around the stick and secure on the other side.
Place your topper in your cupcake, and there you have it, a perfectly dressed cupcake.
It's always a great idea to put them on a pretty cake stand.
You can use your cake stand on a dessert table or as your centerpiece.
You're now serving a treat that no one can resist.
