Our employees love what they do, they give great customer service, they give great patient
care, they
are medics. I started out with two ambulances and then we had some slow and steady growth.
We got a
big hospital contract and I needed to buy a lot of equipment and new ambulances. I need
a bank that's
going to grow with the company; I decided to go with Chase. They've been amazing. I
look at Lauren and
I think that she is the company and I think that's very important because her brand is
everywhere and a
lot of her values are really throughout the company in terms of her attention to detail,
I think that she
flawlessly executes. Chase has been very helpful in introducing me to some of those larger
healthcare
providers and addressing that we have the ability to service them well. When Lauren
needs to buy new
ambulances we'll finance those ambulances. When she has new customers and new relationships
she'll
need to grow her fleet. Fifty ambulances with the high tech equipment takes a lot of capital.
We have
the best state-of-the-Art ambulances. We have computers on board that interact with our
dispatch
center. I think it's important that our customers know that we've got a bank behind us that
wants
to grow with us. That whole combination makes us the best. I have fifty ambulances now and
three
hundred and fifty employees. We just want to continue to support the business and see
it grow. There
was this huge snow storm a couple of years ago when nobody else could get out and we
had one facility
that called us that was not one of our accounts but their provider could not service them,
they asked
us if we could bring a patient to them. The next day one of my supervisors called me "Lauren
I have
something in the back of an ambulance that you're really going to want to see". It's
a little note, and it
says "Dear MedEx, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You saved my mothers life"!
At the end of
the day that's what counts, taking care of people.
