A story from Greek mythology.
About 1200 years BC.
The war of Troy had lasted for 10 years.
The city Troy was besieged but the warriors couldn't conquer the city.
So Odysseus hero and king of Ithaca invented a ruse.
A huge wooden horse had been built.
The belly of the wooden horse was hollow.
When that horse was ready,
they put the huge horse filled with soldiers,
at the gates of Troy.
The fighters hid.
It was said that the horse was a gift to the goddess Athena.
The Trojans wouldn't offend Athena,
and brought the horse inside the city walls.
In the dead of night warriors came from the horse,
and opened the city gates to the Greeks,
who already were ready to storm the city.
The whole city was burned and looted.
No one could use Troy anymore.
