Sweets prepared Sesame seeds taste very good during winters
We can make various sweets with Sesame seeds like barfi, laddu, chikki, fudge, tilkut etc
Today I'm going to make Til ke Laddu
Lets see the ingredients for making til ke laddu
For making it we will need
Sesame Seeds (Til) - 250 gm
Khoa (Mawa) - 250 gm, shredded
Bura or Powdered Sugar - 250 gm
Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp
Almonds - 15, finely chopped
Cashew nuts - 15, chopped
Lets start making Til ke Laddu
For making til ke laddu, first we will roast sesame seeds
Put sesame seeds into a kadhai / wok
and roast lightly
keep stirring the sesame seeds continuously
Sesame seeds will become fluffy and smell good after roasting
Seeds have changed their colour slightly
Don't roast these seeds in excess otherwise they will become bitter
These are roasted, now turn off the heat and turn them into a plate
Keep the sesame seeds aside and let them cool
Now roast khoa lightly
Roast khoa on low flame
Stir continuously
Khoa is roasted, turn off the heat
Take it out in a plate
Keep aside this khoa and let it cool
Sesame seeds have cooled, now we will grind them in a grinder
Grind them into powder
Now mix this sesame seed powder with the powdered sugar (bura) using a mixer
Add sesame seed powder, powdered sugar and cardamom powder into the jar
These are mixed well
Now we will mix khoa with this mixture using mixer
All the ingredients are properly mixed together
While preparing this mixture keep in mind that sesame seeds and khoa shouldn't be hot
Now add Almonds and cashew nuts to the mixture and mix well
If khoa or sesame seeds are hot, the mixture will become moist and it will be difficult to make laddus
Take some mixture and gently press the mixture to form a smooth, round ball
You can make laddus of any size you like
Similarly make all the laddus
All the laddu are done
This mixture made about 27 laddus
Til ke laddu are ready
It is a very delicious dessert
