Steve: Hi, it’s Steve from PartSelect. Today we are going to show you how to change the
upper wash assembly on your dishwasher. It’s a really easy job. All we’ll need is a Philip
screw driver. Let me show you how we do it.
Now to begin this repair, we’ll need to remove the upper rack, slide it forward, now
the rack stops at the end of each track that we’ll need to remove, and have a little
locking tab you just need to depress that tab and then slide the racks dock up to the
track. We’ll remove complete upper rack assembly set it aside. Now there are two screws
that hold that upper wash assembly in place and they are stainless steel so they’re
a little difficult to pick up if we happen to drop one, so I suggest either putting a
towel across the bottom rack or a pan of some sort just in case we drop one of those screws.
So with a Philip’s screw driver remove both screws and just pull down on that assembly
grasp the tube at the back and pull it forward. Now your new assemble may only have one hole
and if that’s the case you are only need to use one of the two screws so make sure
we have it so that the spinning card is on the bottom, slide around to the old tube make
sure it sits centre.
Simply tighten the screw in place I’m sure it turns freely we can remove our pan, now
we are ready to reinstall our upper rack, slide the two tracks forward engage one of
the rear wheels and then the other. Now just pull those tracks forward again reinstall the racks stops open
end goes on first we slide it in the opening till the little stop snaps in place
and our repair is complete. We told you it was an easy job, thanks for watching and good
luck with your repair.
