You're probably an excellent student with a bright future
but when you look around there are a lot of other smart cookies around here at UofM.
After all, we are leaders in the best. So how can we stand out among so many other
qualified peers?
Rotaract's Professional Development Committee wants to help you!
Presenting ProTips! In every Rotaract newsletter
you'll receive at least two ProTips to checkout. These cover just about
everything
from career fairs volunteering at the campus garden and even to lecture
series sponsored by the art school.
We believe that professional development occurs outside the classroom and outside
your expertise.
The ProTips that seem most foreign to you are the ones we encourage you to pursue the
most.
ProTips are a way for you to explore new places and try new things you
normally wouldn't.
As they say, to learn the most when you get out of your comfort zone!
You'll discover new topics of interest to talk about and connect with professionals
outside your discipline. And what's there to complain about a highly qualified
student who's well rounded?
And it gets better! Later in the year, we'll have events
focusing on how to present these experiences so that everyone knows how
much you've done.
Plus if you try at least two ProTips, let us know by emailing
Kevin and you'll get a special treat at the end of the year. Excited?
So get out there and explore! After all, that's what's going to distinguish you
from your peers who shy away from standing out
