We'll begin by clicking on the Start button.
Next, type backup and then select Backup and Restore.
Notice that this computer is not been backed up yet.
Click on set up backup
We'll choose drive D as the location to store the backup files.
Click the next button.
We can either let Windows choose what files to back up or we can select this option
and choose the files ourselves.
We'll go back and let Windows choose the files.
We click the next button.

Here we can also schedule this to happen on a regular basis.
We can turn off scheduled backups
however scheduling is recommended.
We can choose how often to back up,
pick the day of the week,
and the time of day
Click OK.
We'll click Save settings and run backup.
Depending on the amount of data and the speed of your equipment the backup could take up to an hour or more to complete.
We've skipped ahead to near the end of the process.
The backup operation is now completed.
Let's take a look at the results.
We double-click on the D: drive to open it.
Our backup files are stored in the WindowsImageBackup folder.
This simple procedure has backed up all your important files and created an image of your system drive.
You can use this later to recover your PC if disaster strikes.
