In the life of the local society equality and self-realization had first priority.
Willingness to help and and well-being of the community were core values. War and exploitation did not exist,
feelings as greed, hatred or envy were unknown to the Jacksons.
The high degree of personal freedom could as well be seen in the educational facilities.
In the distant province of Lumia on the planet's mountain was the Lohm University,
a university just like all the others on Jackson.
The mobility was high between the universities, for the students as well as for the scholars.
Even recognized scientists enjoyed having guest professorships on the mountain of the planet.
It was possible to visit lectures from all different subjects, and everyone took pleasure in the lively debate.
Students and scholars were treating social challenges together, which was advantageous for the harmony on the planet
as well as for the sciences in their abundance of ways.
The management of the university profited from the participation and co-determination of the student body.
For a time it was good.
But jackson was not completely clear of greed, hatred and envy,
these attributes were hidden in their shadows.
The shadows were unhappy with their subordinated role and aimed for social change,
according to their ideas. Therefore the conquest of domination of the planet was necessary.
For ages they had lived in seeming symbiosis with the Jacksons, unnoticed by them.
From their hideout they studied this apparently happy world precisely, greedily soaking up knowledge about it.
The more they learned, the more dangerous they became.
When they knew and understood the way the Jacksons functioned perfectly they knew their time had come. They dared to step out of their hideout.
Initially they tried to gain influence on the universities and infiltrated those deliberately.
The longterm goals were to dispose critical thinking and manipulate the teaching to gain influence on the elites.
Beyond that they thought the strategy more convenient to take over the domination step by step.
At first, they did not focus on the center, but the periphery of power.
The first consequences were abolition of participation, increasing the modularity of the courses and additional assesments.
As they expected resistance they acted carefully and performed their alterations just slowly.
The structure of the university was adjusted to the logics of business enterprises. Education became a consumer good.
Due to loans they had to take to be able to afford to study, and the resulting debts, students were completely dependent on the shadows.
They got rid of many subjects. An aptitude test decided who was allowed to study what.
Cetralized lecture-videos allowed the direct contact between students and professors to be abolished.
The students got subscribed substances to increase their efficiency. Additional effects of those pills made them more submissive and took away their free will.
After the universities the shadows took over more and more institutions, leading to eventual world domination.
The jacksons were held like livestock and served as hosts for the parasitic shadows.
