"It's my party. I'll do, do what I want."
Singing like a goat - Jessie J shows off her party trick as she takes part in the first
UK-based Facebook Live event in London. Sat in front of a select few competition winners
and with Facebook viewers watching online, Jessie talks about the pressure of being in
the spotlight.
''You are put into this lifestyle that people expect you to know how to cope, you know,
doing a 13 hour video shoot in heels and missing out on lunch because you're still filming
and you still have to be 'hi I'm J..', it's tough, like, there are moments where you just
have to remind yourself of what before all of this you needed in your life to feel alive
and I felt in the last few years that I have been very lucky that I have been able to adapt
and balance my lifestyle, that I wanna make soup at midnight and I am gonna post it on
Instagram because that's what makes me feel normal is cooking and I like cleaning and
I like talking about cleaning and I like organising things.''
Her new track 'It's My Party' is from her second album 'Alive', which she admits has
been tough to make...
''The second album is the hardest because it's going against one thing that exists and
that was me when I was 17/18 and I am nearly 26 so it's a big jump of age and experience
and responsibility and control so I feel like this album represents a more adult me."
