The history of Real Madrid
The Real Madrid Club de Ftbol is a Spanish football club. Is considered by FIFA, the
greatest of the 20th century. In addition to being a football club, Real Madrid also
works with other sports, such as Athletics, Rugby, basketball, Baseball, swimming, Tennis,
table tennis, volleyball, gymnastics, wrestling, boxing, chess and handball.
The Club is responsible for four of the five biggest signings in world football: Lus
Figo in 2000, by fifty-six million euros, Zinedine Zidane in 2001, by seventy-two million
euros, Kaka in 2009, by sixty-five million euros, and Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009, by ninety-four
The Club has the traditional color white. Its crest has been changed several times in
attempts to modernise or re-brand; the current peak is a version approved in 1920. Was of
a primeial is the home of the person the capacity Santiago Bernabu football stadium in downtown
Madrid, where it has played since 1947. Unlike most European football clubs, Real Madrid,
the members (socios) have owned and operated the Club since its inception. The Real is
the richest Football Club in the world in terms of revenue.
Almost three years after the official presentation as Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is leaving
the Club. The divorce between the two sides was announced on Monday by President Florentino
Perez, at a press conference at the Santiago Bernabu, which also served to announce
the date of the next elections: June 16.
"The relationship between Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho will end at the end of this
season. Both the Club and the coach agreed that it is the right time to give wind up
this link ", announced the leader, who thanked the technical work done by the Portuguese
during the three years he was in charge of the team. The visit to Real Sociedad and Osasuna
reception are the last two appointments of Mourinho, who leaves behind three trophies:
Copa del Rey in 2010-11, 2011-12 League and UEFA Super Cup at the start of the season
2012-13. The fate of the Portuguese coach will undergo a return to England, with Chelsea
to be appointed as a strong possibility.
"[Mourinho] is a huge qualitative leap in sports plan. Real Madrid are now in place.
The balance of sports point of view, is positive, "said Florentino Perez. "This year we reached
the semi-final of the Champions League, we were seconds in the Spanish League, but for
us it is not enough. Missed us a bit more. This is a very demanding. We are proud for
this level of requirement. Our culture is to win, "he added.
"Mourinho is the coach that takes more time in Office, among the 20 teams in the Spanish
League. It is not easy, an institution subject to so much pressure as this club ", Florentino
Perez, who has not disclosed any details in relation to Mourinho's successor at Real Madrid,"
is a new stage, and we want to be a person who will help us to continue to improve. Today
we have a large institutional and economic stability ".
Carlo Ancelotti, who led Paris Saint-Germain for the title in France, has been insistently
pointed to as possibility to train Real Madrid in 2013-14, but Florentino Perez assured that
you haven't talked with anyone: "we have not made any agreement or pre-contract with no
coach. It is a matter to be dealt with in the near future ".
"Will always be remembered in this House" Asked about the friction between Jose Mourinho
and some players of the squad (Iker Casillas or Pepe, for example), the President of Real
Madrid stressed that "each coach has his personality". "The level of pressure that was submitted
is not normal," noted Florentino Perez, admitting that the Club Mourinho output makes it "a
sad day". "[Mourinho] will always be remembered in this House. Is a part of our history. "
There is no doubt that the Portuguese coach is on the pages of the history of Real Madrid.
Positive and negative. On the one hand, led the meringues to Spanish title, beating Barcelona,
Pep Guardiola, regarded by many as the best team in the world. And broke a six-year cycle
followed by Real Madrid to be eliminated in the round of 16 of the Champions League, leading
the Club to three consecutive semi-finals and retrieving some of the prestige.
But also there were many controversial episodes by Mourinho in the Spanish capital. Since
the iron arm with Valdano, who managed to move away from the Club, up to the constant
criticism of the arbitration. In August of 2011 even went so far as to put the finger
in the eye of Tito Vilanova, then Deputy to Guardiola in Barcelona, during the second
leg of the Spanish Super Cup that the Catalans went on to win.
More recently, Mourinho referred the Spanish International goalkeeper Iker Casillas to
alternate condition, even admitting that one of his regrets was not having hired the goalkeeper
Diego Lpez soon when he arrived in Madrid. And, when the Portuguese international Pepe
asked for "respect" for Casillas, Mourinho said publicly that the defense is a man "frustrated".
The last controversial episode happened on Friday, during the final of the Copa del Rey, Real lost to Atletico Madrid.
Mourinho was sent off during the match, and then not climbed to the podium to receive
the overdue Medal from the hands of King Juan Carlos.
The source of this discrepancy is
the mode of each club to do business. Since Florentino Perez created the first Galacticos in Madrid,
in 2000, the Real policy is
to hire the most famous players in the world. In the case of Cristiano Ronaldo, bought by
94 million euros from Manchester United and Kaka, who left Milan
for 67.4 million euros. The two are among the most expensive signings of stories. More
than that: none of the players used in the semifinal was formed at the club or arrived
at no charge to the Real. The average cost of each athlete is r $ 84.4 million-even with
the midfielder Essien, who is on loan from Chelsea, not into account.
In Borussia Dortmund, things are completely different. The most expensive signing, for
example, was bought for $ Gundogan 14.8 million of Nuremberg. More than that, however, the
team search players with free transfer. The goalkeeper Weidenfeller and defender Piszcek,
for example, arrived at no charge. In addition, the team still WINS with their categories.
The main team is the revelation striker Gtze, that next season is going to Bayern Munich
by R $ 100.9 million. Another silver House is Defender Schmelzer, valued at R $ 27.9
million.
This difference decreases, but not much, when what is taken into account is the current
market value of the athletes. According to the website Transfer Markt, specializing in
the subject, the full squad of Real Madrid worth $ 1.84 billion euros. Borussia is estimated
at r $ 789,5 million. among the eight teams that played the quarter-finals of the Champions
League, Barcelona ($ 1.87 billion), Bayern Munich ($ 1.33 billion), Juventus ($ 1 billion)
and PSG (R $ 939,9 million) exceeds this value. Only Galatasaray (R $ 442 mi) and Malaga (318,37
mi) are less than the Dortmund finalist.
With
the elimination, Real Madrid goes to
live
a period
of uncertainty in its cast-very because of doubts about the permanence of Jose Mourinho
at the helm of the team. This doubt stops the future of Brazilian players on
the
team meringue. The Spanish press, which was divided between praise and highlight the ' failure
' of Real Madrid, also questions whether the Portuguese leave the Club at the end
of
this season.
