Hey guys Kent here at Fox Airsoft, wanted to talk to you about doing a basic barrel
installation, or tight bore barrel installation, or installing a new bucking. All basically
the same process, all those parts are going to be changed when you do barrel/bucking.
So the first thing you are going to want to do is take your hop up unit, today I am using
a madbull ultimate, with a madbull black python tight bore, and a blue bucking. And go ahead
an turn off your hop up unit, so that your arm is not protruding into the barrel. Pull
off your hop up clip. I'm going to easily twist the barrel out. Don't worry about your
bucking getting caught- slide it off. Now if you are replacing your bucking, your barrel,
obviously you are going to want to exchange them at this point. But if.. say we're replacing
this barrel, we are going to go ahead and clean our barrel as normal, so we are going
to take our standard patch throw it on our barrel cleaning rod. Clean the barrel as normal,
even if it is brand new, many barrels will come dirty. So you want to make sure that
you have those clean. After you clean your barrel, you're going to take your new bucking,
slide it on, you'll see there's a notch on the bottom on the barrel that should align
with the strip of rubber on the bottom of the bucking. Slide it on, you'll feel it click
into place as the bucking's nub goes into the barrel's window. Apply just a drop or
two of silicone oil, today I'm using 30 weight oil. Again, twist your bucking back in. And
you want to align that notch, that bucking alignment notch to the parting line on your
hop up unit. After you do that, put your hop up clip into place. Push your barrel back
to make sure the hop up clip is locked. Alright guys, so after you have your barrel and bucking
installed, next thing you want to look at is your nub. If you are replacing your nub,
or just throwing it back in, sometimes it will fall out, you want to go ahead and remove
your hop up arm. This will be different for just about every hop up unit. On this particular
unit- go ahead and punch the pin, remove it. And remove the hop up arm. This will revile
your rub, which will sit right on top of your bucking. In this particular unit, I'm just
using a standard, madbull hard nub. Take a look, it will be sitting right here, on top
of that blue patch in your barrel window. Easiest way to do it, take your hop up arm,
apply a drop of oil to the concave. Throw your nub in there. The surface tension will
hold your nub in there. Then just throw your arm back into the unit. And that's how you
install your hop up and barrel components.Fox Airsoft
