Dr. Eufemiano Fuentes has given a brief response to Tyler Hamilton's evidence at Operation
Puerto.
Hamiliton, who won an Olympic gold medal during a successful cycling career told the court
he paid more than $40,000 a year to Dr Fuentes for blood doping and other drug services to
illegally boost his performance in competition.
Fuentes gave a brief response as he left the court.
"No comment. He'll know what he has done, he said he has done many things with many
people."
Hamilton told Judge Julia Santamaria via video-link he had used blood doping services 15 times
and that had also bought blood booster EPO, testosterone, growth hormone and insulin off
the defendant.
Hamilton said he paid between $33,000-40,000 for the services in 2002-03 and agreed to
pay a further $67,000 in 2004.
Hamilton said he was not able to complete the 2004 treatment because he tested positive
for "mixed blood cell population," from receiving someone else's blood, in September 2004.
