Do you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit?
Male Voice: Fact.
Female Voice: One in five eligible Americans are unaware they qualify
for the Earned Income Tax Credit or E-I-T-C
which could mean a tax refund of two thousand dollars or more!
Male Voice: Fact.
Female Voice: To qualify for the E-I-T-C, you need to have earned income
from employment or self-employment.
Male Voice: Fact.
Female Voice: You need to have earned less than fifty thousand dollars in 2011
and be between the ages of twenty-five and sixty-five.
Male Voice: Fact.
Female Voice: Most importantly, in order to qualify you must file a tax return.
Male Voice: And remember: you don't need to be married, have children,
owe taxes or give up your public benefits to get the E-I-T-C.
Female Voice: Tax refunds are not counted as income
when determining other federally funded benefits.
