Its important for every individual to join forces through membership of organizations that could become member to ENAR
to make equality a reality in our everyday lives.
ENAR, the European Network Against Racism, is the voice of the anti-racist movement in Europe.
It consists of seven hundred NGOs, grassroots organizations,
working directly or indirectly against racism and discrimination
at EU level and also at national level.
ENAR is determined to fight racism, xenophobia,
anti-Semitism, islamophobia and related intolerance
against the most vulnerable to racism and discrimination
particularly ethnic minorities, roma communities, migrants asylum seekers and refugees.
It works for the equality of treatment between every person in the EU,
EU nationals and EU citizens as well as third country nationals
and tries to link local and national initiatives
with EU initiatives against racism and discrimination.
As far as Cyprus is concerned,
ENAR Cyprus coordination consists of 14 organizations
as well as other informal migrant communities
working directly or indirectly against racism and discrimination and related intolerance.
We have been established since 2006 and we are proud to have as our members,
the majority of the organizations working against racism in Cyprus,
including Turkish Cypriot organizations.
We aim to bring our member organizations together to exchange views,
to discuss and debate around racism and discrimination at national level,
to inform our members about EU policies and EU initiatives
and also to encourage and reinforce our members,
in working at national level but also at EU level against racism and discrimination.
By joining ENAR Cyprus, member organizations have a better insight
in relation to the antiracist and antidiscrimination policies and initiatives
at both national level and EU level.
By joining ENAR, we strengthen the voice of the antiracist movement in Cyprus and in the EU.
