Ok, with our wide tooth comb, we're going to start our first part, and I'm going to
make this a little bit wide so you can see what I'm talking about. We're going to make
it just a little over an inch, maybe and inch and a half wide, and just use your large tooth
comb to get this part going. And once you establish some sort of line, you kind of just
run that comb down underneath to grab those stray hairs. And just pull it apart to see
where your line is. And we're going to take this part all the way down to the edge of
the hair line, just to see where it ends. We're kind of going to the side, so we're
going to grab this hair like this and pull it back, just make sure you check where you're
going. Just go all the way down, and the only reason why we're going all the way down is
to create guidelines for ourselves, because we are going to turn this braid. So, now that
we have our first line, we want to keep the same width that we have up here, over here
on this side. And since the hair line curves around the ear this way, we're just going
to start it right about here, just a little bit above eye level; right there. So, we're
going to take a comb and place this right here, hold that part that way, and then bring
this hair underneath here, and we're going to go ahead and just go straight back for
a ways to create that turn. Catch those stray hairs, get a nice clean line. Then you're
going to put the head down and start from the bottom. Now, we're not going to go all
the way to edge, we would have to kind of do it an an angel to do that, so what we're
going to do is just start right about here and meet up with the hair. Use your wide tooth
comb, pull is apart, and now we have another straight line. So, we're going to take our
small comb, hold this part back, separate this. See, we have 2 good turns right here.
Hold that part up there, and now you can see from the line, we go right down here, the
hair is going to turn again, then right down here it's going to turn. And now that we're
ready, we can start to braid.
