Once I put in my retirement packet, I wanted to drive a truck. Finding a jobs after retirement
was quick, fast in a hurry. I got with one of the trainers, and at the time he talked
to me about the company and what all they were offering. The benefits and all that.
So he told me to look it up on line and I did just that, I looked it up on line and
gave them my name number and address, and he told me someone would e contacting me in
about 2-3 days. And sure enough in about two day I received a phone call about a truck
driving job from recruiting and they gave me more details in reference to the company.
Right after then I was on, they took everything form there. If you're an 88 mike and you wanted
to come on with Crete Carrier, I would say Crete is the number one spot for military
transition jobs. Great benefits, you can't ask for anything better, it's like a family,
a team. I cam where with Crete from the Army, and it's like I was welcomed in, I wasn't
nervous or anything, they just pulled me right on in. The hiring process was, getting with
a driver and he told me that there was a new military program that was coming out and I
had a CDL all through the military, and I didn't want to just sit on a CDL so I decided
I was already a truck driver there, so I decided to come on with Crete. A lot of things that
I did with the military and what I'm doing here at Crete, some of it is the same. Safety
is always first and foremost, and the same thing with the company, safety is first and
foremost. While I'm here at Crete I hope they help other military personnel come and join
Crete Carrier.
