US$1.5million in chips stolen from Vegas casino
"Ocean's Eleven" movie
casts George Clooney, Brad Pitt and other Hollywood superstars
as 11 professional criminals
scheming to rob
the safe at Las Vegas' Bellagio casino
Who would have thought that in real life
the same casino would we be visited by real robbers.
The criminal singlehandedly
passed through the casino's tight security
and stole more than US$1.5 million casino chips
in an act even more formidable than the movie.
Around 3:50am on Monday
the gunman arrived at the casino on his motorbike.
He quickly walked towards a craps table
demanding that nobody move
while pointing a gun at the dealer
and swiping all the chips from the table.
The whole process took less than 3 minutes
before the suspect rode off.
There were 15 gamblers at the scene
and no one was hurt.
Police suspect that
the same man robbed another casino last Thursday
taking around US$500,000 worth of chips
