Tee-Time!
Hi I'm Wendy.
And I'm April.
And we're coming to you from...
The Black Star world headquarters.
April, we have been doing some awesome presentations lately.
It's been super fun.
However, during that session,
we're talking about why people feel
the way they do about money and one of the
exercises we do is we talk about our first memory of money.
I find it fascinating because, I think whether
we realize it or not, we learned a lot about
money that was in a way that it wasn't actually out-loud talked about.
But I think we need to. And the other thing is,
that I think, that what has happened is it has informed
how we feel about money even today, sometimes, like
you said, there's good parts of it and there's not so good
parts of it and you have to figure out
which still serves you.
So what's your first memory of money?
My first memory of money is we had
these neighbours up the road: Fergus and Gladys
they were like my pseudo-grandparents because they
were about 15 minute walk and they would take us to town.
and they'll give me a dollar and I would spend
hours at the K-mart, in the toy aisle, figuring out
how I was going to spend that dollar and so I find
that's still today that when I am deliberately
shopping I'm trying to find the best value
for what I'm going to spend that money I want it to be the best thing.
Well, you know what we're talking
about our first memories of money and I think
we should talk about our first memories of putting.
I remember back last year when we hit our first putt.
Okay.
Here we go.
Oh!
(Laughter)
You know what they say.
It's all about progress.
Not perfection.
Not perfection.
