Roovy is a social networking service that lets you put photos,
videos, links, RSS feeds,
music, and podcasts into folders called pods.
They get shared on Roovy's website and on mobile devices through Roovy's iPhone,
iPad, and Android apps. You can make and share as many pods as you want
and title them based on different topics like the name of your band
or business or the title of a class you're teaching.
Once you've signed up for an account
you can create pods from your web browser at Roovy.com.
I recommend using Google Chrome.
You can also create pods or add to your existing pods
from the roof iPhone, iPad, and Android apps
and the process is almost the same as what I am going to show you here.
To start a new pod click Pods then
Add Pod. This pod is going to be about my beautiful home state of Oregon,
so that's what I'm going to name it. I can upload an image to represent the pod
and be the pod icon which Roovy will resize to it's trademark
pod shape that looks kind of like a guitar pick. Then click
Add Module to start adding containers to hold different types of media.
My first module is a Photos module,
and I'll rename it Oregon photos.
Then I'll click add album to add an album to it.
Within modules you can add as many albums as you want.
Roovy makes it easy to keep your content organized.
When I open the album I can drag and drop in all the files
or I can simply click that area and upload multiple files.
I can click on each photo to add captions and descriptions.
One thing I love about Roovy is how easy it is to combine media types
and that's a large part of what makes Roovy unique. Let's create a music
module next to upload and P-three's
gannett travel music from the public domain
you can upload your own music podcasts or other audio files
