Hi there!
We are from Callosa d'en Sarrià, in Alicante, next to Benidorm
It is a small but beautiful village
We started to walk in Sarria
and today is our second day in the Road to Santiago.
We are still fresh now!
The road is a little bit hard
because we are not used to walk as much as we do here
But we still have no blisters!
I have pain in my knee
That's why I wear this…
but with medicine I can continue
And my backpack weighs 6 kilos.
Well, tell them all the truth… 6 kilos
but there is also a bag that is in the transporting car
There are some "taxi services" that you can contract
just for 4 € in order to take your baggage from one hostel to the next one
which tags your baggage as if it was in a plane.
But most of the people bring their own backpacks
I also bring my backpack
but the other part of the baggage is brought by the "taxi service"
you bring with you what you think is essential
for the day: water, sun protection…
But the heavy stuff…
Anyway
have scheduled a 35 kilometers stage for today
which is psychologically really hard for us
and we want to make
all other stages carrying our backpacks by ourselves
but it is true that we have cheated
sending our sponge bags that way.
We have hostel reservations in all the places where we will arrive
We have come with the trip organized and scheduled
And until now all hostels were very good ones
It has been perfect
It must also be noted that all meals are excellent
Just for 9 € you eat really well
For us price is an important feature and 9 €
is an excellent price
have met a group of Franciscans which laughed and singed
We also found a Chinese girl we felt pity for
because she was so in pain
We tried to help her and despite she did not understand
finally she appreciated our effort
And here people are extremely kind
They wish you a good trip and ask if we feel alright
This is very important
And there is also patriotism
When you find someone of your region
you stop and talk with him or her
There were some boys from Chiribella
They were on bike and they stopped and talked to us…
This is so different from anything else…
These are not exactly holidays
because you make a big effort
You do it because you want to
There's some sportive feature on it
Taking into account the beautiful countryside
it is even more pleasant.
It is like cardio training but in nature instead of in gym
I think it is now more a sportive or
ludicus thing than spiritual or religious
Well, you may find many religious people here
I have seen much spirituality…
I had problems in order to get pregnant
and finally I had the opportunity to travel to see the Pope…
Good morning
Are you going to Santiago?
Yes!
I had the opportunity to see the Pope John Paul II in Madrid
had tried then many times to get pregnant, but the in vitro
fertilization never worked out
So I asked for a child
promise to walk the Way to Santiago if I get pregnant
That was in July
and in September I get pregnant
Therefore I have not to ask for anything
but just to be grateful for that beautiful son
I corroborate his son is a beautiful boy!
See you later!
Why it does not work?
Because it is this one… That's it
What I do not know is if I am recording… There's no REC…
Yes, look to the red point, to the red point.
