Lung cancer deaths could be avoided with low dose CT scan screening. I'm Erin White and
THIS is a dailyRx Minute. An estimated 43 MILLION people still smoke.
A new study has declared if all eligible current and former smokers were screened for lung
cancer, over 12,000 lives could be saved every year.
Nearly nine MILLION Americans currently meet the screening criteria. They are between the
ages of 55 and 74 and have smoked a pack of cigarettes each day for 30 years or two packs
of day for 15 years. For further screening criteria and for additional health news information
