Every year, millions of plants are purchased and sold,
purchased and sold, purchased and sold.
A lot of positive motivation and influence is tied to planting --
from being praised for your green thumb,
to feeling better about your contributions to the environment.
Because planting a few flowers is going to completely negate your Ford F-150.
Regardless, planting and gardening is a hobby, passion, or way of life
for millions of Canadians and worldwide citizens.
It may seem small, but considering the number of plants we buy each year --
about 140 million dollars for Canadians in 2013, the numbers really add up. Where's all this plastic going?
How do we reduce the plastic being used for something so strongly linked to environmentalism?
Herbam is an alternative to the traditional plastic plant pot or container.
It's intended to be buried with the plant.
Just tear off the bottom and put it into soil
Herbam pots are not only completely biodegradable and made out of 50% post-consumer material, but the inks are soy-based --
meaning it's completely safe for the environment.
How are we different for any of the other biodegradable varieties out there?
Herbam pots promote the proper growth of plants
while it's being broken down. Water lillies? We've got a pot for that.
Potatoes? We've got one for that, too. Daffodils? Yup.
Ivy? Yup. Peonies? Yup.
Cacti? ...yup.
So if you're interested in a greener, more convenient tomorrow,
