In this video tutorial I'm going to show you exactly how to create a Subscribe Annotation
for your
next video. So you can boost your subscribers.
Alright, each and every one of my videos I always make sure to add what we call a subscribe
annotation to the beginning of the video. Now we normally like to put this right after
we do our
opening intro segment to get people hook. And here's an example of my DIY Video
Studio video, were about 30 seconds I have this annotation come up in the lower left
hand
corner DIY Video Studio: Click HERE to Subscribe. Now here's what so cool about this, is when
people click it, it passes the video opens up a new tab sent them to my channel with
this little
overlay that asked them to confirm there channel subscription, this is one reason why we have
over 18,000 subscribers and sure to more have time co'z were doing things like this on each
and every video.
And now, you'll see another thing here is the Keyword. I've heard rumors that the keyword
and
annotation helps who knows it doesn’t hurt do doesn't. So we go ahead and do that as
well.
Let's go ahead now! And look at exactly how we can do this for your next video.
Alright login to your YouTube channel and we going to go and select the Video Manager.
And
then from there we see our list of video and we want to go ahead select Edit on the one
that
we are going to add an annotation too. Obviously this is where all of your option for editing
your
video are, and we want to look for this on of the top called Annotations. Now there's
all kind of
staff and were not going to a full tutorial and annotations today. But there's all kind
of different
annotations that we can used you know, from external link annotations to click in over
to another
video and staff, really this showing you this subscribe annotation here.
Today, so what I want to do is I want to find the right spot on this video which is very
easy for
me because it's the same spot in every video to add annotations. And remember what I said
earlier, I like to put the subscribe annotation right after we do our intro beat. So,
I'm going to go ahead and find that now and I will go ahead and add it.
Okay here we are about 13 seconds my intro starting, so I want to just pause it here
and I'm
just click this annotations bubble I'm just create, you can create a speech bubble or
note they’re
both the same really except that the speech bubble has a little thing here and going to
bring it
down here in this left hand corner we going to make it kind of big and were going to write
the
Keyword: Boost YouTube Views! And then in caps CLICK HERE to Subscribe!
Okay, I'm going to make the font a little bit bigger will choose a 16 I like my font
to be white and
my background to be red that come out got the stick out a little bit. Now here's the
magic, were
going to go and select that link button and were going to go to a channel.
There's always a different option Video, Playlist, Channel Google+ Page, the Subscribe actually,
I'm sorry we want to go to Subscribe one, sorry about that. We want to go to
Subscribe and then you just enter your channel id. So what is your channel that's really
easy to
figure out, you just go to appear on YouTube, you'd click on your thing and click my channel.
And whatever choose up after your user is your channel id that is you’re actually
your YouTube
channel.
So I put that there, and then we just want to see how long we want to keep that on for
that's
another important thing. By default it's going to leave on there for good, I don't know 18
seconds something like that. So let's go ahead and just take a look, and that's were want
to end
mine, you of course can end yours anytime you want. I want to go ahead and select save
and
published. Once you've click the published you will update that annotations, we can edit
it and
change anytime. But it's rely on people to see very simple, very easy, just
don't go over bored and start adding annotations to all of your video more than 1 or 2 in your
video gets a little annoying.
Okay hope you enjoy this tutorial. I'll see you the next one. Take care!
