My intention was to talk in detail about Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and about the current affairs concerning his pure life
And using the blessed self of the Prophet as a screen
Those people who have made their tongues like swords against those who are devoted to the Prophet
And (who) have made their statements like arrows dipped in poison
(They) want to play around [disturb] with the peace in the country
And they want to stop those who tell the truth
I will talk about them
But, an old Arab poet once said
"Everything that a person wants
For it to happen is not possible
The winds blow in that direction
That the ships..."
I received a phone call from Islamabad from the Chancellor of Madinah University, Dr Abdullah Saleh Al Ubaid, who is a notable and outstanding figure in Islam as well as an elder and a friend
I've come here (Islamabad) and I need to discuss some things with you
Get here as quick as you can
And so I went
I began to head back yesterday so that I could arrive by night and make it to this convention
But Iraq's Minister of Information, who is a close friend of ours, and who also has an affiliation with our jamaah
Then he arrived in Islamabad and then stopped me (from going back)
I arrived home eventually around half 3 at night
I have a fever, my body's aching and I couldn't even go to sleep in the morning because I was cold - even now I can feel the cold
But for this convention I decided to go on the long journey
Or else I would have stayed there today
So I may not be able to speak with as much detail
But still I will try my best, if all of the topics can't be covered, then most of them will be
If Allah wills, more occasions will come soon
If anything is left incomplete, (then) if Allah wills we will complete it on those occasions
The pitiable/despicable thing is, and which I want to present in this convention today
And that thing is that within this country, some people
Using the screen of 'love for the Messenger'
Using the name of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
Using the name of that blessed person
Who was the perfect example of mercy
Concerning whom the Lord has said in His Book:
"And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds."
And concerning whom it was narrated in the hadith
Who never used his blessed tongue to swear at anyone
(Who) never used a harsh word/statement about anyone
(Who) never hurt anyone
And in the narration of Anas, (may Allah be please with him)
I have spent 10 years serving the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), day and night
I was small, and whilst serving I had faults and would make mistakes
But in the duration of these 10 years, I have never even heard 'uff' from the blessed tongue of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
Whenever he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) addressed me, he addressed me as beloved son
And if I ever made a mistake, then I knew this (the mistake) from the smile of the Prophet
He would smile and I would understand that I have made a mistake
So much so, that this was Anas
His mother had made a vow
That if Allah gives me a son then I won't expect him (the son) to take care of my future when he grows up
If the Lord gives me a son, then my vow isn't that I will bring him up, nurture him and look after him
So that when he grows up, he serves me, earns a living for me, supports me in old age
Rather, Allah, if you gave me a son and I brought him up
And he is able to serve
Then Allah I ask not for me but for the servitude of your Prophet
So this was that Anas
Who was asked for the servitude of the Prophet
Once a non Muslim insulted... Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him)
He wasn't even a Muslim
Abu Bakr remained silent
He (the non Muslim) insulted (him) again
He (Abu Bakr) remained silent again
He (the non Muslim) insulted (him) again
He (Abu Bakr) lost patience and in anger, said back the same words that were said to him
Abu Bakr is saying that the words hadn't left my tongue yet
When I saw that someone has softly put a hand on my shoulder
I turn around and see the blessed face of the Prophet in front of me
He (the Prophet) said Sideeq, remain silent, don't say anything
For as long as you were silent, the angels were answering back for you
And when you insulted back in answer, (the angels left)
I was not sent as someone who curses
And he not only said that, the companion has also narrated
He (the Prophet) said, the believer is not one who curses a lot
He is not a believer, who plays with the dignity of others
Such a Prophet
That when he is leaving this world
His devotees, his 'jaan nisar' are sitting in front of him with respect
Such Jaan Nisar, who would tear out their hearts from their chests and put them by his (the Prophet's) feet if he just gave the sign
Such devoted people, that if he gives the order, they would jump off the tops of the mountains
Go into the chests of the oceans
And think that they have done nothing, even when they have given up everything on his sign
Such 'jaan nisar', whose mark of love and belief is
Whose capability of respect is (such)
