Now I have a sample already in my arrange window. What I want to try to do now is resize
the sample. Now I have a tempo that's on my session, but it's not exactly the right tempo,
so what I'm going to do is I'm going to highlight what I believe the track is to be. It's to
be one bar. So what I'm going to do within this bar, is I'm going to highlight the one
bar within my locater, and highlight the actual audio piece. What I'm going to do next is
go to audio, and adjust region lengths to nearest link to locaters. Once I do this,
it's going to ask me to process it. Once I process it, it's basically going to stretch
it without changing the pitch. So hopefully when this is done, it's going to be within
the time. So now I'll hit play.
Now I could this to all different types of tracks, but when I change the actual tempo
it's not going to change the waveform. So what I've got to do is I've actually got to
do it again if I do. You probably don't want to do it too many times, but you probably
want to do it just one time and get it right the first time, so usually what I like to
do is try to import the track, right, find the tempo, see if I like that tempo, and decide
whether I want to bring it up or down, right, and then I actually figure out the tempo I
want and then adjust the length to that tempo.
