>>Nick: This is Nick from Bottle-Lamp.com and ah, I just killed another bottle of beer
so I thought now is a better time than ever to try and get this bottle cutting thing down
to a science. So I have adjusted it so it will cut right below the line, my water is
hot and I'm ready to go.
[Nick rotates bottle on the bottle cutter.]
[You can hear the glass getting scored, it makes a grinding noise.]
>>Nick: Alright!
Awesome. That worked out really well, ahem, I got a perfect line that touches both ends
and I got a good score out of that one. Ah, I'm gonna get my cold water running
and lets do this.
[Nick picks up the hot water kettle from the stove.]
Hot water first, five seconds, all the way around.
[Nick pours steaming hot water over the bottle.]
And then the cold.
[Nick holds the bottle under the running cold water.]
Not much there, lets try it again.
Oh! Huh, oh ***, it worked.
>>Silke: Did it really? >>Nick: It did. It worked! Look.
>>Silke: Alright! Woohoo!
[Nick and Silke are both laughing.]
>>Nick: Hammie, it worked. Let's dance.
[Nick bends down to pick up the dog and does a victory dance.]
>>Nick: It's my birthday, I got it to work. Look at that!
>>Silke: You've been trying to do this for how long?
>>Nick: You have no idea.
>>Silke: Well, tell me anyway. [Nick and Silke are both laughing.]
>>Nick: Look it. It's a little uneven, but I can grind that out with sand paper.
So, wow, success! We've got a perfect one. I can leave the label on and make it a
little votive candle.
>>Silke: Cool!
>>Nick: It's a Blue Moon. >>Silke: Woohoo!
>>Nick: Yah, alright. Woohoo! We did it, we did it. I did it!
Ja, OK.
