Welcome to the School of Professional Studies video tutorial for Blackboard Collaborate.
Blackboard Collaborate is a tool that allows you to set up real time on line sessions with
your students including audio and video, an interactive whiteboard, application and desktop
sharing, and "breakout rooms" for student groups. Collaborate also allows you to record
your sessions and to share your recordings with your students later directly in Blackboard.
Some possible uses of Collaborate include: online office hours, A meet and greet with
students at the beginning of the semester, one-on-one or small group meetings, real time
class presentations, and group meetings among students.
This guide explains how to set up a session in collaborate, provides an overview of its
basic features, and lists a few important things to keep in mind when preparing and
executing your session.
