Welcome to Can You Etch It, the web's first laser engraving series that specializes in
laser engraving strange, unique, and even common items. This is Alan Reeves with Book
Worm Laser & Design and you can find me at bookwormlaser.com
This time I am engraving a mirror. Laser engraving a mirror has been an interesting project and
has a lot of potential. With mirrors, you can either engrave the front creating a frosted
look or the back, removing the silver. Both ways have their uses, but on this mirror,
I decided to engrave on the back.
The design I have chosen is a quote from Mason Cooley,
"Fantasy mirrors desire. Imagination reshapes it"
I thought it was a fitting quote for a mirror.
At the end of the video, you can see the final result, including a very blurry picture of
me taking a picture of the mirror. I have realized that it is difficult to get a good
picture of a mirror. If you have any suggestions of how to take better pictures of mirrors,
help me out by leaving a comment.
