If you're watching this video, it probably means you're on conditional status
but don't panic! I'm going to run you through what it all means and what you need to do.
Firstly, being on conditional status does not mean you can't continue your studies.
It just means that for whatever reason, your studies didn't quite go to plan last semester.
Now if you want a bit more information on what Conditional status is, or anything else I talk about,
just scroll down the page at the end of the video. Also, if you think there might be a mistake
with your academic status, you can contact your Faculty Student Services office to clarify this.
Ok, so if you know you're on conditional status, what now? Well, you do have options!
But it is important to note that how you approach your study next semester, is ultimately up to you.
If you want to remain in the same course, but get better results, you need to identify
what went wrong and what you need to improve.
If you're not sure what you need to change, then The Return to Good Standing Plan, which you can
find below is a great self-help tool.
The plan will ask you a range of questions and based on your answers, it will provide you with links
to relevant support services. So the Return to Good Standing Plan will give you the ideas,
and from there, it's your responsibility to stick to the Plan and improve your results.
Curtin's support services are available to assist you with all options and we highly recommend
that you seek their expertise and advice. Remember though, the University shuts down from Friday
December 20th right thru to Monday, the 6th of January. Any enquiries made over this period
of time will be responded to as quickly as possible as soon as we re-open.
Good luck with whichever option you choose to take and remember, support services at Curtin are here to help.
