Inspiration
Sponsored by Disability Services and Assistive Technology Center.
Inspiration can be used for diagramming and outlining your class work for better
organization and learning.
I will be showing you, first, where to find Inspiration on your campus load
computer, and second, how to set up a diagram and outline.
If you first go to the start menu and then go to your UWSP application center,
once your applications load,
um, type in on the search bar on the right hand side Inspiration
and it should pop up.
I can close out of my application center.
So for the sake of this example I'm going to start out doing an outline and then
I'll just show you the diagram format.
With every outline, you need a main idea. I'm just going to start out with an example.
And with every main idea you need a subtopic and topic, so I click the
topic icon,
so my first topic will be...
And the great thing about Inspirtaion is it also has spell check,
so if you spell something wrong you can go ahead and correct it.
So for this topic I want to do a subtopic, so I am going to click the subtopic icon,
and I'm going to say...
Ok so I have a main idea, I have a topic, and I have a subtopic.
If I wanted to do another topic under my main idea, I'd just click the topic
icon again
and then I could move it to the left or to the right. I'm going to move it to the left,
so it's roman numeral two.
So there I've kind of got a good start on my outline, now I want to show you how the
diagram would look like.
So if I just click the diagram outline,
um, the diagram icon, it will diagram my outline for me.
This is my main idea and these are my two topics and this is my on subtopic
that I have.
I can arrange it differently. If I wanted to do tree, I could do a tree so it's more
formal
I could also do web
kinda like this
or split tree, like this.
So this is my main idea.
I am just going to stick the normal tree for now...
so it looks like that.
If you want to learn more feel free to stop by room 604 of the UWSP
library and thanks for watching!
