How to verify website in Pinterest for Business Web hosts with access to a Cpanel you can
manage yourself such as - Bluehost HostGator GoDaddy
Since this feature was just rolled out only top-level domains (.com) are allowed to
be verified. So if you have a ebay, amazon or etsy site you will not be able to verify
your site at this time. You can also only verify one website per Pinterest profile.
When you’ve just opened your new Pinterest for Business account click the
Verify website tab or Sign in to your Pinterest acccount
Go to settings and scroll down to your website Click the “Verify” button
Once you click the button you will have a screen that appears allowing you to download
the HTML code that needs to be uploaded to the root folder of your website via your hosting
file manager or FTP. Do not close this page you will need it to verify your website once
you uploaded the HTML to your websites server. I logged in to my Hostgator cpanel
Scrolled down and clicked File Manager Select the Web Root option (public_html/www)
and make sure that you have checked the box to show hidden files. This will allow all
files to show – Once your file manager is open, select the
folder with your domain name and click to open it.
once the selected file is open select upload, find the html file from pinterest and upload
it After you upload the Pinterest file you should
see it appear in the file. Now you will need to go back to the Pinterest
website (the tab you left open earlier) Click Verify- It will let you know if the
code was found on your site. Now check your Pinterest Profile! There will
be a red ticked icon showing. Trust this is useful to you –
