Our new hospital on the former Derby City General Hospital site is a hospital that we're
all very proud of.
As the biggest ever investment in health care in Derby, the new hospital will provide the
very latest in modern health care.
We aim to make your visit as easy and stress free as possible.
Our new hospital is easy to access from the A38, A50 and Derby Outer Ring Road.
We provide a dedicated hospital bus service which runs regularly from Derby city centre
making us easy to get to.
Please try to use the car park that's closest to the department you're visiting this can
be identified by using the map that's sent with your patient appointment letter.
As you enter the main entrance of the hospital, you'll find our main reception which is open
twenty four hours a day seven days a week and our friendly staff are here to help you.
As you walk through into the main hospital you'll see coloured signs, maps on walls and
areas that have been colour coded to help you find your way around.
We're also very lucky to have many volunteers who can be found throughout the hospital,
and who are always on hand to answer any questions you may have.
If you have trouble walking we have a hospital buggy on level one which will drive you through
the corridors to your location.
You can call the buggy free of charge from any one of our help points, there over forty
five all over the hospital.
You can also access a range of other services from the help points like calling a taxi,
public transport information and outpatient advice and liaison service or PALS for short.
They can be found at the main entrance of the new hospital and whether your are a patient,
relative, carer or local resident PALS provide free confidential advice and support.
Clean friendly and safe, our new facilities, combined with our excellent staff put us in
the best position to keep improving our outstanding track record for the quality of service and
experience of the patients we care for.
Derby Hospitals, taking pride in caring.
