When's the best time to put out a plan to deal with the number one issue?
Hey it's Buzz 60 politics I'm Jay DeDapper.
We all know the number one issue this presidential campaign is the economy, so you'd expect both
candidates to have long ago released detailed economic plans, right?
Well no. Instead Mitt Romney gives a big economic speech just 10 days before Election Day. And
Barack Obama puts out a printed plan -- critics call it a grossly booklet and they're not
wrong -- only a couple of days earlier.
“It’s all spelled out in this campaign brochure, which I think on sheer graphic appeal,
easy to read, this is a small version of it, is very good.”
So it's easy to be critical. Whatever happened to the chapter length policy proposals and
25 point detailed plans?
Twitter. Seriously.
Don't blame the campaigns for giving us a billion dollars worth of negative ad carbs
instead of serious policy protein.
Our attention deficit disorder society prizes 140 characters of snark over 140 paragraphs
of substance.
After all what so you remember from the debate?
Big bird, binders and bayonets.
And we'll shoulder some of the blame too, after all we are Buzz SIXTY….Now you know,
pass it on.
