Just so I can live up to my name, we're going to do a couple Warhol looks. The first one's
going to be these Warhol flowers. So what I did is I coated the nail first with white
and that really makes the neon pop. You can use a white. You can use a nude. You do two
coats of that and then one coat of the neon over. But in this case, since Warhol's flowers
were photocopied, I wanted to give it a bit of a rougher, edgier look.
So I added just one coat of white and then top-coated it over with the green to give
it that grass look. But then this one is pure white, because you'll see where we're going
with that one in the next video. So now that we have our sort of neon green edgy, kind
of photocopied look, imperfect neon green layer, I'm going to go in with the white to
outline the colored flowers. You can just use the brush in the bottle and just make
- you know floral's always big. Women are always wearing floral prints, but this one
is just a classic and it's so fun.
This is one of Andy Warhol's most famous paintings and the great thing about this is you can--
it comes in all these different colors. So we're doing it in one permutation, but there
are so many different permutations, and so many different colors that the flowers were
done in, people even collect the variations. So you can do any color flower that you want.
I'm just painting them on with the bottle brush. Just dabbing them on gently. I'm not
really stroking, just more dabbing.
