Replacing an old cutting blade on your 2FEL pruners is quick and easy.
First you will remove the spring. Next you'll loosen the top gear locking screw
with the flat head screwdriver,
or small adjustable wrench. After that you can take off the pivot bolt nut.
This nut should comes by hand if not you will need an adjustable wrench
once you have the pivot bolt removed the handles will come apart
and the blade can be removed now is a perfect time to clean up your pruner
with the quick scrubbing from a wire brush
now you can place the new played on the pruners
aligning with the three pins. At this point you want to make sure your
pruners are well lubricated
were're using Felco's recommended spray item number F980
Once lubricated you can put the group back together
Place the pivot bolt back through the pruners and then screw on the pivot nut by hand
be careful not to over tighten as this will cause the pruners to move sluggishly
next replace the locking nut gear interlocking it's teeth
with those of the pivot nut. Now tighten the screw to hold everything in place
lastly you will place the spring between the pruners and you're ready to prune
