Stopping over here at Blackhawk!, I am here with Gary Cauble and Gary, Blackhawk! has
brought out a new line rifle rests. That's right. And quite a few options as well.
Correct. So you've got something for every shooter here. What have we got? Shooting
rests is a brand new category for Blackhawk!, so we're excited about what we have to
offer here.
All the rests are branded and there's Blackhawk! Sportster. So,
like I said, this is a brand new category for us. There are five different rests. So we didn't just come
out with one at a time. We just went
full force and went out with five new rests.
The price points on those are going to vary from
99.95 to 174.99.
So you are getting a lot of features, a lot of good product features on
this
at a really good price point. So,
we have five different models. We can start up here at the top. This is
what we call our Titan III Series.
It's a tri-stance rest.
Some strong features on this basic rest:
all of the rests you see today will have a solid, cast aluminum, base to them, so it
makes a real heavy rest that performs really well.
In all of them you will see this consistent adjustment wheel.
This adjustment wheel gives you, basically, elevation up and down. And
you can do it real quick or you can just finger through it. And that's
consistent throughout the whole rest line.
The Titan III actually comes with a pre-filled polybag, so right
out of the box it's ready to take to the range. Nice to have that prefilled, really nice.
That's a basic introduction tri-stance rest.
We drop down what we call our Titan FXS Series.
The Titan FXS is basically top of the line rest for us. It's our cadillac of
the line.
It has got all the features, the most features out of any of the rests.
We can start here in the back.
In the back of the rest, it's a rear capture rest, so it's a padded rest. It
won't damage your firearm. It helps to manage the recoil a
lot better than, let's say, just an open rest. Absolutely.
If you'll notice, consistent on all the rests as well,
a common features is
duel tube construction. And
what that allows for is you use it with magazine fed rifles:
so your modern sporting rifle, anything that might be
magazine fed,
or with a pistol grip.
So that's a great feature on that. Also you'll notice on a couple the rests you can
see a removable weight tray. You can take it off; you can add
weight to the rest so helps keeps it from sliding around on your shooting bench.
The Titan FXS, like I said, has the most features.
You can see that same elevation wheel. It gives you that up-and-down
movement.
The FXS also has windage adjustment.
So if you want to get that left or right adjustment, it's a real nice
feature. Great feature. Yea, so, again, that's a Titan FXS.
Next rest we are going to go down to is what we call our Titan R2 rest. You're
gonna see that it looks a lot like the Titan FXS
but with the Titan R2,
but basically instead of being a solid, cast aluminum front it's a solid, polymer
injection molded portion of the rest. So what that does for you is that it cuts down on
the weight
but it also cuts down on the cost. The retail on this one is about
119.99, that's the suggested retail on it. Nice.
It also cuts the weight down, another really nice rest for the
Sportster line.
If we go down a little bit further,
a little bit further down here on the display,
this is what we call our Titan FX.
Titan FX is about 149.99.
You're going to notice it doesn't have the weight tray,
still has that dual ray construction,
still has that same hammer coated finish. So it's really strong finish on that. You'll
also notice in the back, instead of the rear
capture rest is what we call our pistol capture rest.
So with this rest, you will hiding the rifle with your shoulder
rather than capturing the back of the rifle rest. So,
again, this is the Titan FX.
Real good addition to the line as well.
One last rest we'll take a second to go over is
what we call our
Titan VR or Varminter rest.
Basically, real basic rest. It's 69.95 retail, so really good intro
price.
This is a really neat rest, so it has about seven inches of
adjustment.
So you can raise it up and down,
you can rotate it 360 degrees. Wow. So,
if you are out doing varmint hunting or lightweight shooting,
this is a really good rest. Great, great
to see that. Yea, so that's all five
of the rests. Yea, a
lot of features you guys have packed into your rests. It's really great to see. Just the
micro adjustments from the rear,
the windage adjustment right here, absolutely fabulous. Great, it gets me
excited because I know that that's something I can really use at the range. Solid designs,
removable weight tray, really nice to see that: makes even just storage a lot easier.
Take it out there especially when you're out there with a sporting rifle. Gary, thank you so much
for spending some time with us. Thanks a lot, yep.
