Today on our 2012 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball Cushion Ball
Mount, part number AMSC2. First, we want to go over measurement on the vehicle. We want
to measure the hitch height. That's from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver
tube. Keep in mind that this measurement will differ depending on exact model, tire size,
or any aftermarket add-ons. The hitch height on our particular Sienna with this particular
hitch measures in at 12 inches. Now, we'll go ahead and test the AMSC2 in
the drop position. We'll insert the ball mount into the receiver tube of the hitch, line
up the hitch pin holes, and secure it with a 5/8-inch pinning clip. This ball mount features
a 2-inch drop so when we measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform, we've
got 2 inches to a height measurement of 10 inches. If your trailer coupler height measures
10 inches thats from the bottom of the coupler to the ground when leveled, this ball mount
would be a good application in the drop position. Now, we'll go ahead and flip the ball mount
over on the rise position.
