Hello! In this tutorial I'll show you how to make a simple and stylish avatar.
And so are creating a new document. Go to File-> New ... or press Ctrl + N.
Set the size of 200x200 pixels, well, or at your discretion.
Get out the Elliptical Marquee Tool.
Style - Fixed Size.
Size selection set 197h197 pixels.
Click on the image and drag your selection to the center.
Grab the Paint Bucket Tool.
Select your color.
Fill in our selection.
Then go to Select-> Modify-> Contract.
We put 10 pixels, it will be the thickness of our frames, click OK.
Remove the middle.
Now go to Blending Options.
Turn on Bevel and Emboss.
Tune it to taste.
I put the depth of 195%.
The size of 13 pixels.
Transparency of the shadow of 90%.
Now open the image, which is inside the ring.
I have a U.S. flag.
Select the picture or the area you need.
Copy and paste it into the project with your avatar.
Then transfer the image layer by layer with a ring.
Transform the image by pressing Ctrl + T, to obtain the desired background.
Next we need to get rid of the picture outside the ring.
To take this tool magic wand tool, select and delete the unwanted parts.
Selection is carried out on the layer with a ring and remove the layer with the picture.
To look better, add a shadow on the ring.
Now on to add character. In my case it's Captain America.
Open up the picture with the character.
Cut a hero any way you like.
I have a white background, so it fits a magic wand.
That's it! Now copy the characters from the Text in the project.
Transform the size of the avatar.
Put in the desired position.
To avoid any and all projections were very close, we allocate our ring.
To do this, hold down the Ctrl key and click on the layer.
Take the Polygonal Lasso Tool.
Hold down the Alt key and delete the selection of places to stay.
Now go to the layer with the hero and press Delete.
All that's left for the ring can be removed using an eraser.
For a realistic hero, you can add a shadow.
