On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Laura Banford. I'm going to show you how to make Greek shrimp
with Mediterranean salad. Now I'm going to talk a little bit about feta. Feta is the
official cheese of Greece. It's made from sheep's milk or goats milk. Sometimes now
it's made from cows milk but that is considered completely inauthentic and Americanized so
you want to buy feta that is made from sheep's milk. Although, I had some goats milk that
is absolutely delicious. This is a curd cheese made in brine. It's produced in block in fact
the work feta means sliced in Greek. It's used in salads very often as we're going to
use it today crumbled. Spanakopita which is a delicious flaky pastry appetizer from Greece
that is made with spinach and that is really delicious and we should make that sometimes.
It's an important ingredient in Greek salad join me next when we are going to clean and
caramelize some onions and really get started in cooking.
