This week's Wrap-Up may be small, but that's because we've got lots in store over the next
week as we announce our Top 3 games for December 2012, and then dive right in to the one you've
all been waiting for - our Top 10 for 2012. So lets not delay and jump in to the Friday
News Wrap-Up for the 4th of January, 2013.
For many the transition to a touch-only based system is unfamiliar, all the more-so because
it's often tied to motion-based controls too. Being out of your depth is never fun, so iPhone5Mod
have developed a somewhat familiar control system to connect to your iOS device via Bluetooth
3.0. Whether you strap on a keyboard or a controller that apparently supports most titles,
it looks like a good deal for those having a hard time adjusting.
While the details are sparse, Team Meat's cat-pageant and cat random-generator title
Mew-Genics has been confirmed (via a recent blog post) to be headed to the App Store.
Sadly we wish there was more to go on as details of being able to create cats of various physical
and psychological traits doesn't really say much about the gameplay itself, but it's definitely
one to keep an eye on.
Look, say what you will about 'endless' titles, but they're the perfect fodder for those moments
when you're out and about and you want to kill some time without investing too much
effort in the process. Dragon Runner is slated for early 2014, but I honestly can't wait
as this gorgeously presented title manages to combine elements of Tiny Wings (via the
controls) and platforming greats (such as Super Mario) to create something magical.
Magfest is just around the corner, so hopefully we'll have more hands-on footage then.
Sadly that's all I can pack in to today's news, but we'll be back after the weekend
with even more reviews, news and as already mentioned, Top List videos to satisfy your
cravings. Have a great weekend!
