This video will show you how to share your portfolio with others.
To begin, click on the blue "share" button in the upper-right corner of the toolbar.
This will take you to the "Sharing and Permissions" page
in the "Manage Sites" section of Google Sites.
In the "Who has access" menu, click "Change..." to see the
three different sharing settings you can choose from.
Make your portfolio public on the web,
make it available to anyone who has the direct link, or
make it available to only people you specify.
First, lets go over how to keep your portfolio private and
share it with only people you specify.
This will require the person viewing your portfolio to
log-in into Google Sites in order to see it.
We will begin by making sure "Private" is selected
in the "Who has access" menu and clicking "Save".
Then, in the "Add people" box at the bottom,
enter the e-mail address of the person you would like to share your portfolio with.
Then select the kind of permission you would like to give them.
They can view, edit, or co-own the portfolio.
If you give someone ownership of your portfolio,
they will be able to share the portfolio with other people,
edit your content, and delete your site.
So only give portfolio ownership to others you trust.
Check the "Notify by e-mail" box if you'd like the person
to receive an automated e-mail message with a link to your portfolio.
You also have the option to add a personal note to the e-mail by clicking, "Add message".
Then, click "Share and Save".
The name and e-mail address of the person you shared your portfolio with,
will appear in the "Who has access" box.
You can also make your portfolio public on the web.
This means that your viewers will not have to
log into Google Sites to see your portfolio.
There are two levels of public-ness in Google Sites.
You can make your portfolio completely public on the web
or make it available to anyone with the link.
Remember, that making your portfolio public on the web,
means that it is truly accessible to everyone in the world.
Checking this box will make your portfolio content
completely public and searchable on the web.
You can also make your portfolio available with anyone with a link.
In this case, anyone who has the direct link will be able to view your portfolio.
However, it will not be searchable on the web.
Under "Visibility options", select the level you would like,
either "Public on the web" or "Anyone with the link".
Once you've made your selection, click "Save".
Now your portfolio is shared with the world
and now you can better manage your sharing settings
and have greater control of your information and portfolio content.
Good luck!
