Why I love Birmingham? I think it's such as multicultural city and that's important to me
because that's what I am trying to bring now into the pageants,
to get more and more people of colour to go forward and compete.
Because I'm the first person in 60 years to ever win of colour.
When I actually won the feeling was absolutely amazing I can't explain it,
because I had worked for three years to try and win the title to represent my city
because I was so proud of where I come from and I've seen all the talent around Birmingham
and I really wanted just to be that person to represent it in a way where I'm not just in it for the beauty or
trying to get my name out there but actually to inspire young people to actually become something,
so that was my, sort of, aim on why I wanted to be Miss Birmingham.
I think you know the simple answer to that is and the most natural answer to that is Birmingham is home.
I was born just a mile and half up the road at Dudley Road Hospital and I have lived my life,
the majority of my life, within 6 miles of this area.
Everything I have in my life is based around the city
and for me a lot of people say well it's probably the natural choice because that's where you were born
but it my teens I did actually relocate to London.
But I chose to come back here.
I made that decision in my teens and I have never looked back since and I have always stayed true to the city.
