I'm Jesus Jacquez
Off Camera: Jesus?
Jesus: Yes
Off Camera: And you're a student here at Mountain View College
Yes, I'm a student here at Mountain View College. I will teach students and people how to tie a bow tie
Off Camera: Now this is with a standard silk tie, not a fancy bow tie, you're just using a silk tie
Jesus: Yes. A silk tie.
Jesus: This actually is the first step.
You kind of have to have it like this.
Make sure it's kind of flat. The front of the tie has to go into one of the loops.
And once it goes in there you leave it in there.
It's going to be the shape of a bow tie.
And then you flip it once or as many times as you want. The more you flip it, actually the thicker it will look.
So we cross this. Cross this part. We hold this with the other hand and then you just kinda tie it up.
And then you go all the way down and put it close to your neck.
Once you do the loop and its tight inside you just bring it from the bottom and go up to the hole you just created then you just do it until you get it done.
Off camera: And you keep wrapping it until you run out of tie basically?
Jesus: Basically until it's small enough you can just put it on your neck and it will be fine. You know what I mean?
You put it in through the other thing that is left over, under the tie, you put it underneath.
And then you just keep (tightening and straightening it)
So this is a final product of a bow tie.
It took me a while - but I got it
Off camera: Excellent! Well we appreciate it Jesus.
That's a pretty sweet tie.
And you're going to do a presentation - What's the name of the organization?
Jesus: The organization is called Brother To Brother.
And it actually helps us grow up a little more and be more mature with the way we act in the school and the way we dress.
