I'm Dr. Edward Weaver with Wilmington Optometry in Wilmington, North Carolina on behalf of
Expert Village to tell you how to care for you contact lenses. We've got contact lenses
also that tinted. The ones I have in my hand here are disposable lenses. The purpose of
tinted lenses are to change or enhance a person's eye color. These 3 here on one side of my
hand are enhancing a blue eye or a green eye. It makes it bluer or greener. The other 3
are opaque lenses. The purpose of those are to change a brown eye into a blue, green,
amber, or lighter color brown. The beauty of these lenses is that you can get a good
cosmetic effect in addition to getting a good therapeutic effect for your vision. They cost
a little bit more. They're about the same in comfort as non-tinted lens, but many people
like those. Not only do you get a good cosmetic effect, but some people like them because
you can see them better in the contact lens case. They show up better. They're easy to
find their solution.
